Cored control products need to stand up to the rigours of daily use so when you buy crowd control systems a few points to check:

1. Stability of the base - Cheap retractable barrier bases and post stanchions use crude concrete weights. Ours use attractive molded bases weights that give great stability, wont scratch your floor and are designed to last.

2. Quality of connection between upright post and base. People pick these retractable barriers by the post. A weakness here soon becomes apparent.

3. Materials - look out for thin metal. Some manufacturers cut corners by using thinner materials. Crowd control products need to be able to stand up to the rigours of daily use.

4. Quality of finish - Our rope and post stanchions are stainless steel. Cheaper version use mild steel that has a chrome finish which can quickly tarnish and may rust.
